The Gospel of Mark
Jesus, Savior and Friend of Sinners
Jesus is not distant, disgusted, or disinterested in sinners—He is the Savior who moves toward them. Through three encounters in Mark's Gospel—a leper, a paralytic, and a tax collector—we see a Christ who is compassionate enough to touch the unclean, powerful enough to forgive sin, and gracious enough to befriend the detestable. This message reframes our deepest need: not better circumstances, but cleansing, forgiveness, and restoration through Him. If Jesus is both willing and able to save sinners, then anyone—no matter how broken, ashamed, or spiritually paralyzed—can run to Him and find healing, hope, and a new life.
