Revelation 1:17-18
Hi Folks!
This week's Creation to Consummation reading comes from Revelation 1:17-18.
“When I saw him, I fell at his feet as though dead. But he laid his right hand on me, saying, ‘Fear not, I am the first and the last, and the living one. I died, and behold I am alive forevermore, and I have the keys of Death and Hades.’”
What a wonderful passage that brings us such comfort and encouragement. Praise God! We serve a risen Savior who holds the keys of Death and Hades. Amid all that is happening in the world right now, it is comforting to know we’ve read the end of the book—and Christ wins in the end. Though this life may be difficult and challenging at times, it is only just a blip on the radar screen in comparison to eternity. Someday when this life is over, for those who have faith in Christ, we will enter into the glorious presence of our God and King and “when we’ve been there ten-thousand years, bright shining as the sun, we’ve no less days to sing His praise than when we first begun.” Amen! Amen! And amen! Stay safe and stay in God’s word.
