Mark 15:22-26

main image
Hi friends!
Tomorrow we will read together Mark 15:22-26.
"And they brought him to the place called Golgotha (which means Place of a Skull).  And they offered him wine mixed with myrrh, but he did not take it.  And they crucified him and divided his garments among them, casting lots for them, to decide what each should take.  And it was the third hour when they crucified him.  And the inscription of the charge against him read, 'The King of the Jews.'"

This event marks the culmination of all of redemptive history beginning at Genesis 3:15.  From the moment God makes a promise to Adam and Eve that he would one day send a Redeemer to crush the head of the serpent, all of world history from that moment on is being directed toward the cross of Christ.  That God would become human, the Creator step into his creation, is a mystery beyond all comprehension.  But rather than ponder the unknown, let us reflect and rejoice on what we know—that he who knew no sin became sin for us that we might become the righteousness of God in him (2 Cor 5:21).  In light of this truth, let us enter into his glorious presence with hearts of thanksgiving, ready to praise and exult our glorious King!

Blessings,

Hexon
