Colossians 2:13 - 14

I hope you are finding these Creation to Consummation emails helpful. The scripture reading for this week is Colossians 2:13-14.
“And you, who were dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made alive together with him, having forgiven us all our trespasses, by canceling the record of debt that stood against us with its legal demands. This he set aside, nailing it to the cross.”
What a wonderful reminder that once we were dead in our sins and owed an enormous debt to God. A debt that could never be repaid. And yet, Christ took that record of debt and canceled with the payment of his own blood. Thus, the debt it paid! In full! For those who have faith in Christ, no matter what we’ve done, no matter what we will do, there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus! Hope you have a good Lord's Day tomorrow.
